“Prayer to Persephone”, by Edna St. Vincent Millay
From the collection, Second April, published 1921
Be to her, Persephone,
All the things I might not be;
Take her head upon your knee.
She that was so proud and wild,
Flippant, arrogant and free,
She that had no need of me,
Is a little lonely child
Lost in Hell, - Persophone,
Take her head upon your knee;
Say to her, “My dear, my dear,
It is not so dreadful here.”

quiere hablar.

Flounder Lee en Residencia Corazón
Flounder Lee is an artist/curator/educator currently on sabbatical doing artistic and curatorial residencies around the world. He grew up on a farm in the United States and received his BFA from the University of Florida and his MFA from California State University, Long Beach, both in studio art and photography. Over the past decade, several overlapping themes have run through his work: post-colonialism, mapping, science and environmental change. He uses various media such as photography, video, performance, sound and installation to create works that touch on important themes. Many of the same themes and media are also part of her curatorial practice. Remains from her early specialization in aerospace engineering, such as rules and pre-set conditions, are common to her practice. His sabbatical work is about a daily and decolonial future.

Blaire Stapp/ Muy muy serio
Sheets of a notebook and another, ripped as a calendar, sticked as postcards, are the engine of everyday life away from home, sweet home.
But what structures Blaire's work is humor. Much has been theorized about its role in society, as a channel to name fears, nerves, discomforts (who did not make a joke at a funeral...).
Aware of her place, Blaire portrays for us grotesque, every day or fantastic situations, which lead us to build scenes from movies that never existed. Dramatic comedy, Netflix would say.
