Øystein (Norway, 1983) is a director, writer, and playwright in the independent theater scene in Norway. He graduated with honors from Rose Bruford College, Romerike Folkehøgskole (Acting), and Hartvig Nissen VGS (Drama), Oslo, Norway.
“I aim to understand this culture as deeply as possible. I’m writing a podcast series set on a fictional island where the population is largely from here. To faithfully capture these characters, my script has to be steeped in everything Argentine: sensations, flavors, smells, colors, and textures. What can be captured and conveyed through sound? How do these characters speak? Languages, stories, references, attitudes, conversations with colleagues… everything I can absorb during this time will be very useful for my work.”

“Me propongo conocer lo más profundamente posible esta cultura. Estoy escribiendo una serie de podcasts ambientados en una isla ficticia en la que la población es en gran parte de aquí. Para captar fielmente estos personajes, mi guión tiene que estar impregnado de todo lo argentino: sensaciones, sabores, olores, los colores y las texturas ¿Qué se puede captar y llevar al sonido? ¿Cómo hablan estos personajes? Lenguajes, historias, referencias, actitudes,conversaciones con colegas...todo lo que pueda absorber en este tiempo será de mucha utilidad para mi práctica”.
