CIUDAD IDEAL


Encarnación física e intelectual de Utopía, la Ciudad Ideal es un diseño urbano de la perfección humana y arquitectónica. Aspira a construir y vivir en armonía una organización social única basada en ciertos preceptos políticos y morales.
Si bien muchas ciudades ideales permanecen en el estadio de sueños en las mentes de sus creadores, algunas se han transformado en hechos. Es, paradójicamente, un logro ideal en el sentido de que -a diferencia de las ciudades espontáneas que se desarrollan gradualmente de acuerdo a necesidades en base a varias decisiones- orgánica y a veces anárquicamente, la ciudad ideal es desarrollada conceptualmente antes de ser físicamente construida, y sus bases son el resultado de una voluntad unificada intelectualmente. Según mi sentido, la paradoja puede ser también una metáfora de la construcción de una figura así como elecciones artísticas involucradas en esta construcción.
Desde esta perspectiva, La Plata es una ciudad ideal fascinante e inspiradora, patio de juegos y lugar de exploración para el comienzo de mi trabajo sobre Utopía, Ciencia ficción y paradojas del tiempo.
Estoy interesada en cómo la representación del Futuro puede revelarnos mucho del Presente. Muchos temas de ciencia ficción iluminan temas existenciales reales: el personaje buscando escapar del laberinto, la representación de nuestra civilización como una antigüedad, la observación de lo de afuera, estrellas y otras galaxias. Mi trabajo confunde los límites entre realidad y ficción, mis fotos no existen realmente, incluso aunque tengan una apariencia de realidad. Crean dudas en la perspectiva del que observa y la sensación de una paradoja temporal.

IDEAL CITY
Intellectual and physical incarnation of Utopia, the Ideal city is an urban design to architectural and human perfection. It aspires to build and to live in harmony a unique social organization based on certain moral and political precepts.
If many Ideal cities are remained at the stage of dreams in the minds of their creators, though some have been completed in the facts. It is, paradoxally, an ideal achievement in the sense that, unlike the spontaneous cities, which develop gradually as needed depending on many decisions, so organically and sometimes anarchic, the Ideal city is conceptually developed before being physically built, and its foundation is the result of a unified intellectual will. In my sense that paradox can also be a metaphor for the construction of a picture as well as the artistice choices that this construction involves.
La Plata is in that perspective a fascinating and inspiring Ideal city, playground and wandering place for the beginning of my new body of work dealing with Utopia, Science-fiction and paradoxes of time.
I'm interested in how the representation of Future can reveal us a lot about the Present. Diverse science fiction topics bring to light actual existencial issues: the character searching to escape from a maze, the representation of our civilisation has an antique, the observation of the elsewhere, stars or other galaxies. My work blurs the boundaries between reality and fiction, my pictures don't really exist, even if they have an appearance of reality. They create a doubt in the viewer perspective and the sensation to be in a temporal paradox.
