Cuando escuchamos la palabra doodle,
inmediatamente linkeamos con los logos animados del buscador Google. Pero para
los angloparlantes, su significado es más amplio: supone un dibujo simple,
rápido, muchas veces hecho mientras la persona está ocupada en otra cosa (el
clásico garabato nacido al hablar por teléfono, el que habita los apuntes de
una clase poco atractiva).
Como si se tratara de un idioma, Blaire se
aprovecha de los doodles para exponer los estados de ánimo, los divagues o las
canciones que la atraviesan desde el día uno en Residencia Corazón.
Hojas de un cuaderno y de otro, arrancadas
como almanaque, pegadas como postales, son el motor del cotidiano lejos de su home
sweet home.
Pero lo que estructura la obra de Blaire es
el humor. Mucho se ha teorizado respecto a su rol en la sociedad, como canal
para nombrar miedos, nervios, incomodidades (quién no profirió un chiste en un
funeral...). Blaire, por su parte, lo aprovecha para reírse de las
inseguridades, vergüenzas y frustraciones propias y de su entorno. Como forma
de abordar temas angustiantes y enervantes, sobre todo aquellos que nos
atraviesan constantemente a las mujeres que sostenemos la lucha contra un
sistema enteramente patriarcal.
Consciente de su lugar, Blaire nos retrata
pequeñas situaciones, grotescas, cotidianas o fantásticas, que nos llevan a
construir escenas de películas que nunca existieron. Comedia dramática, diría Netflix.

Blaire takes
advantage of it to laugh at insecurities, shame and frustrations of herself and
her surroundings. As a way of treating distressing and unnerving issues,
especially what constantly crosses us to women who sustain the struggle against
an entirely patriarchal system.
Aware of her place, Blaire portrays for us grotesque, every day or fantastic situations, which lead us to build scenes from movies that never existed. Dramatic comedy, Netflix would say.
