"Things are
good, they are useful, but they are perishable. On the contrary, your happiness,
that which nests inside you, is permanent, reliable, always available; its
essence is the sacred that inhabits you, its substance is the expansion of your
consciousness, its manifestation is love".

"The Magic of Silence".
This is the look
Vanessa takes, in a dissimilar context where she values the spirit of the
people around her. The social and political upheaval, racial, gender and
religious discrimination, generates in her a reflection and a search for new
paths. She reviews religion from its etymology as a link between people, beyond
one or several deities, prioritizing the essence. Her observation of nature and
admiration of animals as "beings that live, feel and move by their own
impulse" (RAE) in a framework of freedom and spontaneity; in contrast
to the structured and patterned of everyday life in the city. This
background in line with his residence in our city is what mobilizes the
reflection and give beginning to a new sensitive experimentation of his visual
production. The contrasting
relationships of color, form and texture find new possibilities enriching the
meaning. The freehand drawings of religious buildings and idealized animals,
the static digital image and the animation, form a collage that represents the
coexistence of the diverse. This is how her message of encounter and hope that
transcends all differences reaches us.
